David Stoecker is a person in long-term recovery. For him that means he has not used alcohol or other drugs since January 31st of 2009 and because of that he now has a positive impact on his community. He is the Advocacy and Education Outreach Coordinator for the Missouri Recovery Network, Director of the non-profit Better Life in Recovery and co-founder of the Springfield Recovery Community Center. He was the 2017 Missouri Mental Health Champion for recovery and a 2018 SAMHSA Voice Award winner. He loves organizing pro-social family friendly sober events, educating people about addiction/recovery and spending time with his amazing wife and two incredible kids.
