Toni exemplifies great qualities of a good leader in the field of behavioral health. She has withstood many challenges in her life that she is a champion of recovery for 13 years and counting. Toni Jordan became a peer specialist (PS) in March of 2009 and became a trainer in 2011. Toni Jordan has possessed employment with St. Louis Empowerment Center, Queen of Peace Center, BHR (Behavior Health Response), and presently at Gateway Housing First as PS also is the women support coordinator for Let’s Start. Toni Jordan is a grateful recipient of the Mental Health Champion award in 2011, 2012 Recovery Advocate of the Year, and in 2014 The Voice Award from SAMHSA. Toni also is the co-chair for DBH-State Advisory Council for Comprehensive Psychiatric Services and has a seat on the board of directors for St. Patrick Center. Toni has earned the following credentials: Missouri Recovery Specialist -P (MRSS-P), Certified Missouri Peer Specialist (CMPS), Family Support Provider (FSP) and Missouri Associate Alcohol and Drug Counselor (MAADC).
