Presentation Description: Following decades of forward movement in the peer movement and in our behavioral health systems, we face new pressures, exciting challenges, and opportunities that have never before been a part of our world. This presentation looks at the arc of our individual and collective recovery over time, and asks questions about how we as peers can determine the future course of our movement, our lives, and the nature of the systems in which we live, work, and recovery.
- Describe recovery as both an individual and a systemic process.
- Identify strategies to increase self-determination at multiple levels of a recovery-focused system
- Examine peer’s place and role in recovery across time
