Presentation Description:  This training will engage participants to understand the impact of trauma on both the client and the caregiver. Through a combination of lecture, video, and experiential learning, participants will gain practical tools and helpful strategies to build stronger client relationships and support a healing environment for all.


  • Define trauma and recognize its prevalence
  • Recognize signs of trauma in brains, bodies, and behaviors and understand “triggers”
  • Review basic concepts of Trauma Informed Care and explore strategies to calm the stress response
  • Practice tools to support your resilience and wellbeing
